There are many ways to track down would be, offenders. The law enforcement agencies, have worked with several different companies and agencies to form a group of protection elements against this type of crime. The Sex Offender Lookup is listed on several different websites and can assist in giving documented evidence, to control certain offenders.
I remember receiving a post card in the mail, a few years back, telling me that an offender lived on my street. Imagine the threat that we as neighbors felt each time we saw that person, exiting that house. Our eyes were keen on any activity that went on there and we were glad when those people finally moved.
If you know of a victim or their family then you have a vested interest in seeing these type of people kept under control. The best way to do this is to get the public aware of these situations and informed. No one wants to hear about these things happening to anyone. When they do, it's a horrific thing to witness or hear about. We can only hope this type of thing will never happen to someone we know or love.
