Give Thanks
A
time to reflect on years past, and things that were very important to
us. A time to be thankful for the things we have and if able, to share
the things we have with others, less fortunate.
This week you will be gathering with your family to be together again, on this occasion. It may be the last time for some of your family to be with you. It may be a new beginning for a few of you. Either way, this will be a time for you as a family to make memories, as you have on previous occasions.
Each year, one or two of the members aren't able to make it, for one reason or another. One of my sons, lives out of state, and won't be here. Another may have other family members to be with at this time. So, we will be thankful for the family members that do get to drop by and enjoy the day as well as we can.
Once again, let us remember to thank the Lord for each day he has given us and for a great healthy coming new year.

Reconstructive Surgery

Hello, My name is Christie. I am 25 years old and a full-time college student. Over the past 2 years I have worked hard to lose roughly 140 lbs, down from 308lbs (my highest weight.) While I am very happy with my results and healthy, I feel as if I am trapped in the wrong body. With that being said, I have decided to under-go body contouring surgery to remove about 20-30lbs of loose skin which hangs on my body. Though my pictures may seem as if I look normal, two Spanx and skin tight leggings I wear almost daily assist in tucking and hiding all that lose skin. Since I am a full-time college student, studying and preparing for a career in the medical field, most of my funds go towards paying for my education. I save what I can, however emergencies have occured and I have been forced to dip into my savings. I know there are many other people in the world who deserve your donations more than myself, but I would be greatly appreciative of donantions from anyone who understands my story and mindset.Thank you!

Good Idea
Remember....live every day to the fullest. Each minute is a blessing from God. And never forget....the people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards They are the ones that care for us. Some meetings are fashioned by chance - some are truly a gift of fate........
If you see someone without a smile today give them one of yours! Live simply.. Love seriously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God!

Prayer
Someone
has said if Christians really understood the full extent of the power
we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know
that during World War II
there was an adviser to Churchill who organized a group of people who
dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one
minute to collectively pray for the safety of England , its people and
peace?
There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America . If you would like to participate: Every evening at 9:00 pm Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States , our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation. If you know anyone else who would like to participate, please pass this along.
Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Real Thing......
Growing up as a child was different from many. A grandmother who went to church devoutly also lived the life as best she could. Being human has always been a problem for anyone who tries to live the Christian way and beliefs. She no doubt found times that she could not understand. I often saw her on her knees praying for guidance as she went about her daily life. Most of all I remember her singing. Whether it be at church or home, she could always break out in a song of praise to her Lord. Following in her footsteps became a way of life. I too found that feeling of uplifting every time I sang for the Lord. Starting at the age of 4, I began a life filled with the gift of music. Songs became a way of feeling that I was giving of myself to the local world around me. The fact that most of my music was religious was no problem to me. It was my heritage, where I came from. That was good enough for me.
Her singing was always comforting in a secure way, and gave me peace that she had the hand of God leading and guiding her every move. One thing I always knew was that she would go to him in all things, no matter what.......! That was the REAL THING!

Different Ways
It's been the one thing that has always affected our cultures. Birth & death has a way of changing lives in one way or another. You find that people of different cultures celebrate or grieve in different manners.
Often a person's emotional stability can affect how they handle these dire moments in their lives. While birth is something to celebrate, death is something to grieve. It's not so easy to accept the limitations that these certain moments place upon us.
Depending on the circumstances of a birth, it can be joyous or problematic. A young mother can have many problems adapting to the birth of an unexpected child. She is overcome with guilt for not wanting this child to be born. Her financial situation in life may contribute to this feeling. Whether or not she decides to keep the child or place it up for adoption, she will have many negative emotional times during her life.
A death is never easy to accept or deal with. Once again remember it is the emotional stability of the people going through the ordeal of loosing a loved one. One can only hope that these situations are made more peaceful by the strength of love and prayer.

Goodbye
I see the dark clouds surrounding your family members as they deal with your death. It's not a pretty picture to view, because of the strife involved. My daughter in law, was your daughter and she is getting more than her share of grief at this moment. The family is not handling your loss well, and she is the brunt of their attacks. Needless to say, it's not right for this to be happening and it only causes more hurt in the long run. My prayers for this family, can only be for peace and cooperation between them.
Elaine Knorr, I hope you are able to RIP since you no longer are in control of this situation. I never met you but, from some of the comments I've seen on Facebook, you were a nice person. My daughter in law is torn apart from the way the family treated her at your passing. It's not nice, fair or decent to treat a family member in this manner during such a sad time. I hope you will be able to send some form of love down to your children during their grief and maybe they will be able to find peace and comfort.
My prayers go out to them and I will keep in touch with your daughter, to comfort her and support her emotionally during the trying times ahead.
God be with you and may you rest in peace,
Sincerely,
Nita

Gift of Life
Recently we lost our step-dad, and here we have a brand new addition to our family. I've noticed down through the years, that when someone you know dies, it isn't long before you hear of someone having a baby. So, once again this has happened and I often wonder about these mysteries? What do you think?

Sad Start
My step-dad for a few short years and yet you made a great impression on me as to who I would like my spouse to be like. During those years you showed me that there is a real love, given by your spouse and I saw that in you. You never stopped loving my Mom, even when she would push your last buttons. I've often told her that when she was through with you, that I wanted you. Now, you are no longer here for us to enjoy and I wonder just what your children would do if they knew. It's a horrible thing to be pushed away by your children, because you found love after your first wife had died. I know they have no idea of the sweet person you were to kids who weren't your own blood. I'm not sure if they even care, yet I wish I could tell them how awful they were to you.
I will miss you telling me to "behave myself" when visiting you at the nursing home. It was a time you and I interacted on a fun basis. I want you to know that you are missed and we will have a great loss for years to come.
Rest in peace Henry, and see what all God has waiting for you, up there.
Love ya,
Kaye

Grief
There are several people who will be missing and grieving for loved ones who left them this year. I know several people in my local area who will be going through this emotional time of loss. It's not easy to go through the loss, and at this time of year the memories become paramount with the one's left behind. Our prayers go out to those families and friends who are living in this trauma this year. God be with them and give them the inner peace which passes all understanding........

Mom
Today, would have been Mom's 88th birthday. She passed away "Easter Sunday Night" this year, and took with her a tremendous amount of knowledge and experiences. I can't fathom some of the things that she could have gone through during her life. I can only hope that she felt good about the way she lived it and the people she chose to involve in it.
If I can say anything to you that would suffice for the way I feel, it would have been to know you better, and have a better, more loving relationship with you than what we had. I can only tell you that I am sorry you are gone and that I wish our visits could have been more.
Rest in Peace,
Your daughter,
Kaye

America Sad
Heavy hearts abound while people try to understand how and why this could happen? Children are dead along with the School Principal and several teachers. Grief stricken families now have the task of moving through a holiday without a family member they held dear.
I have seen our America go through this type of disaster several times in the last few years. My feelings about how and why these things have and are occurring stems from my beliefs and the way our laws have handled our controls over our children's training systems. We parents are no longer able to correct and lead our children in the correctness of life. There is no sacred thing these young people hold dear and apart from this type of action. We have lost what is important and our nation's people are hurting. Where there is no God, there is no peace.

Martha Holder
Today, would have been your birthday, if you were still alive. That is not an option, because you would be very old. Yes, being born in 1889 would have given you more years than your body could handle. Still I would that you could be here to visit with and get ideas about how you feel things are going on in this world. Either way, I am telling you "Happy Birthday" and just letting you know that I remembered.
Love,

October 1st
Soon the time will arrive that would have been your birthday. You are missed and I can tell you there are times I wish you were still here to talk to me. I once could come and sit with you to have a confidential conversation about things going on with me and other family members. Today, I flounder here at home on the computer and talk to myself. Sometimes I get out and go to lunch with my sister doing girl things.
You were my confidant, my strength and help in trouble times. Your answers to my questions about life didn't always come to me in the form I wanted but they gave me perspective. Thanks for the life you lived ahead of me, and for all of the things you taught me. If you can hear me or know what I'm saying, hey, Mamaw, I want you to know I thinking about you. I miss your love.
