 Celebrating Christmas is a way of commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, the central figure of Christianity. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to save the world from sin and death. Christmas is also a cultural and commercial phenomenon that involves various traditions and practices, such as exchanging gifts, decorating trees, singing carols, and waiting for Santa Claus12

There are many ways to celebrate Christmas, depending on your religious beliefs, cultural background, and personal preferences. Some common Christmas activities are:

• Attending church services, such as midnight mass, to worship and praise God for the gift of Jesus1
• Reading the Bible stories of Jesus’ birth, such as in the Gospel of Luke and Matthew, and reflecting on their meaning and significance1
• Praying and thanking God for His love, grace, and blessings, and asking for His guidance and protection1
• Giving and receiving gifts, as a symbol of God’s generosity and our gratitude and love for each other2
• Decorating a Christmas tree, which represents the tree of life and the everlasting life that Jesus offers2
• Hanging a wreath, which symbolizes the crown of thorns that Jesus wore and His victory over death2
• Lighting candles or a star, which represent the light of Christ that shines in the darkness2
• Singing carols, which are songs that tell the story of Jesus’ birth and celebrate His glory and joy2
• Making and eating festive foods, such as cookies, cakes, pies, and puddings, which are often associated with specific regions or countries2
• Spending time with family and friends, and sharing the spirit of peace, goodwill, and happiness2

 There are some of the events that some Christians believe are coming true or will come true soon, based on their interpretation of Revelation. However, there are different views and opinions among Christians about how to understand and apply Revelation, and there is no definitive or authoritative answer. The main message of Revelation is that God is in control of history and that he will fulfill his promises and purposes in his own time and way. Therefore, Christians are called to be faithful, hopeful, and watchful, and to worship and serve God in every situation12

Revelations Prophecies, About End Times

Revelation is the last book of the Bible, which contains many prophecies and visions about the end times and the second coming of Jesus Christ. Some Christians believe that some of the events described in Revelation are happening today or will happen soon, while others interpret them symbolically or historically1

Some of the events that some Christians believe are coming true or will come true soon are:

• The rise of the Antichrist, a powerful and charismatic leader who will deceive many people and oppose God. Some Christians speculate that the Antichrist could be a political, religious, or technological figure who will emerge in the near future2
• The mark of the beast, a system that will force people to worship the Antichrist and receive a mark on their right hand or forehead in order to buy or sell. Some Christians associate the mark of the beast with the current or future technologies, such as microchips, biometrics, or digital currencies2
• The great tribulation, a period of seven years of intense suffering and persecution for those who follow Jesus and resist the Antichrist. Some Christians believe that the tribulation will begin soon, while others believe that it has already begun or will happen after the rapture2
• The rapture, the sudden and miraculous removal of all true Christians from the earth before or during the tribulation. Some Christians believe that the rapture will happen soon, while others believe that it will happen at the end of the tribulation or that it is not a literal event2
• The seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven bowls, a series of judgments that God will unleash on the earth during the tribulation. These judgments will include wars, famines, plagues, natural disasters, and supernatural events. Some Christians believe that some of these judgments are already happening or will happen soon, while others believe that they are symbolic or future events2
• The battle of Armageddon, the final and decisive war between the forces of God and the forces of the Antichrist. This war will take place in the valley of Megiddo in Israel, and will end with the return of Jesus Christ and the defeat of the Antichrist. Some Christians believe that this war is imminent, while others believe that it is symbolic or distant2
• The second coming of Jesus Christ, the glorious and visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth to judge the living and the dead, and to establish his kingdom. Some Christians believe that this event is near, while others believe that it is far away or that it has already happened spiritually2
• The millennium, the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ and his saints on the earth, during which Satan will be bound and peace and righteousness will prevail. Some Christians believe that this period will begin soon, while others believe that it is symbolic or that it is happening now2
• The new heaven and the new earth, the final and eternal state of God’s creation, where God will dwell with his people and wipe away every tear, pain, and death. Some Christians believe that this state will come soon, while others believe that it is symbolic or that it is already present

So Very Long and Painful

The journey ahead of a person, who has lost a loved one.  Daily, reminders pop into view and the heart breaks again.  Tears flow and even anger pushes out of their very beings.
They say the road to healing is: Get sad ...get mad... and get glad.......but that is only part of  the healing.  Many other things play a huge role in the daily acceptance of this loss.  The void is there and there's no going back.  Too many "what if's" will come to mind and too many "if only's" will cause bitter memories to cloud the good, sweet memories.
I remember feeling numb, for what seemed 6 months or more.  I just couldn't pull out of this dull useless feeling.  It took me a good year, to finally start letting things go and make an effort to move on.  I can only guess, that it wasn't just me who felt this way, but many other family members.  
With God's help, all things  are possible and surely we can grasp hold of his mighty hand, when comfort is needed.  At times we just break down and cry out to him for help.  In his wonderful time, the help he knows we need comes.........how great is that?

The Watch Begins

It's been awhile since, I've been on here and written anything.  This subject is something that's hard to write about, but it's been part of this blog, through the years..........
Today, I noticed a large truck pull up across the street.  It had medical equipment to deliver. A medical bed was delivered, meaning one thing.  This is a sad day to view, this action meaning, my neighbor is losing her battle with lung cancer.  She has fought it for over 3 years and now I am witnessing her finally stages as it drags the very life out of her fragile body.  I've sent prayers up to God, through those years, hoping for a miracle, but knowing that this type of cancer, doesn't give up.  Now I can only pray for her comfort during these final stages and for the comfort of her family as they endure the loss of their Mom, wife and grandmother.....along with a very large extended family.

I Say Thanks

All too often, we get caught up in life's hectic daily activities, and forget to pray or thank God, for his goodness.  I'm so guilty of this and try to remind myself of the good things, in my life and what God does daily for me and my husband,  Just post a "public Thank You" to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for his daily protection, provisions, and kindness...........how about you all?  

God is Good

After only a few minutes, yesterday, with the weather temps dropping, my hot water lines froze, before I realized it.  I fell into silent prayer, for God's help and reminded him that he's never let me down before, and has always answered my sincere prayers.......... About and hour ago, my cold water in the kitchen, started working and a few minutes later, so did the hot water.  I'm so thankful to our Lord, for his constant help in time of need and daily as my husband and I go about our daily works.
Thank you Lord for your answer to my prayers, for protection and help.  Thank you for your daily help to make it through and on to another day you gift us with.......

I came across this website while surfing my facebook page, and thought it might be something I could utilize with this blog.  While I have put the link to the website here in my blog, I found that the strict "Terms of Service", were something, that I might overstep, should I get into posting here on my blog.  
Times, are that I will get into the spirit of things that I am posting about and place "references, quotes, pictures, scriptures, etc. into the posting to make my subject more interesting.  It's here that I may overstep some of their rules.  This is something I wouldn't want to do, so therefore, I did not make an account with them.
