Prayers

Recently, I met online, a lady who is fighting for her life, against breast cancer.  In the last few days, she has been told that the chemo treatments are not working and she must have surgery to remove it.  Then on to stronger chemo treatments.
It is my prayer that this person, who has touched my life, will come through this ordeal in glorious beauty to show the Lord's great and mighty works. I ask that you stand with me in prayer for her healing from this thing........... I thank you!

Beautiful Fall Day

It’s a beautiful morning, here in the North Texas area, and a real lazy one at that…….I’ve been in here playing around on the computer, doing my usual email checks and looking for jobs. Heaven forbid, I should find one……..the weekend’s are not good for getting jobs on the websites. It’s as if they take a weekend off from work, too. I hope they get back to letting us work more on the weekends, because I need the money.
Anyway, I got up this morning, made coffee and then breakfast……..took the time to eat and then hit the computer……..my boyfriend has been in here several times………acting as if he’s lonely…….guess I had better go be with him……some…….lol.

Dear Friend

I learned from an acquaintance that an old friend I've known for years is in very bad health.  I was told that this friend, has been having many health problems recently and as of last week suffered a stroke.  The down hill slide is looking to be his demise.  This is not good, and I'm sure he isn't too happy being in the shape that a stroke leaves you in.  It is my hope that he will recover and be healthy once again.  We can only hope and pray for him, since I've not been in contact with him recently and don't know where to look should he become able to receive visitor's.  Prayers for you Tom.

A Friend

How often do you think about a friend, who you haven't seen in some time?  Do you tell yourself that you need to call them or go see then soon?  Big mistake!  You need to get it done as soon as possible because your aren't sure if either one of you will be alive the next day.  I've experienced this many times and felt so bad later.  It's a certain kind of loss that hits you right in the middle of your gut.  To all my friends out there that I haven't seen or talked to in some time.  Please forgive my laziness and know that I am thinking about you.

Another Year

The year has taken off and we are still looking at what we got ourselves into.  January, has come and gone so the spring season is just around the corner.  Very soon we will celebrate the love of "Easter" as we Christians remember the sacrifice our precious "Jesus" gave for our sins.  Our hope is vested in this faith and we look toward the eternal destination it promises to those who believe.  May we take to time to observe this holy experience and be once again, thankful.

An Old Acquaintance

This week I ran into a person whom I've known for several years.  He has had one horrific battle after another with cancer and it looks as though he may encounter another this coming year.  When I first met him back in the early 2000's he was robust, peppy and full of life.  Today, his frail body moves along carefully, maintaining balance with each step.  He's still alive and this is what we hold on to.  There is a reason he's still here, because there have been many times God could have taken him on.  I feel sorrow in the fact of his pain and suffering.  Inspiration comes just thinking about what he has endured.  My small aches and pains are nothing compared to his, and I thank God for giving me this insight.  My prayers are with him as he move into another phase of his life.  God bless you my friend.

Actions

I've noticed the actions of people as I have become an aging person.  I find that things which once were very important to me, are not of value anymore.  My actions these days are totally different than they were 30 years ago.  I suppose it's the part of getting older that can make you wiser?  The trials and hard times seem to give you a different perspective about situations.  I wish back when I was a young person, that I could have seen ahead to how things are today.  My actions back then would have been totally different than the way they happened.

Hey Larry

It wasn't the best of situations, but somehow we managed to get through them.  You voiced your opinions, and made it very clear how you felt about the way things were being handled.  Unfortunately like me you had no say.
I'm talking about the day we laid Robert to rest.  Down through the years you and he were growing up buddies, and when you finally made your way to our home, I was offended by the way you acted toward me.  He tried to smooth it over, but I knew you didn't like me.
At his funeral you talked and talked and talked.........I finally had to excuse myself because the service was starting.  After the funeral, you called almost everyday about something you thought I needed to know.  Actually, it was your opinion about it that you thought I needed.  Finally, when I had grown tired of your incessant calling to talk about crap that one of the kids was doing, I just stopped accepting your calls.  You made some snide remarks on my voice mail, but I just chalked it up to you being you.  I just didn't want to talk about Robert's kids, ex-wife and such, anymore.  It wasn't my business anyway, and I was completely out of the picture.  Finally, your calls stopped, but I heard word of how you were from time to time.  I saw you once more, right after Betty passed away and that was the last time.
I'm sorry you are gone, but it looks like this is something we all have to face one day.  I suppose you and Robert can have a time talking about the old days, now that you are both deceased.
Sincerely,
Nita

Hello Bobby

It wasn't a good thing to hear that you had passed away.  Even though we weren't friends, during the years I knew you, still you made a huge impact on my life.  The type of impact you made was one that I wouldn't wish on any of my enemies.  You had a way of trying to suck people into your world, and then when they didn't accept things the way you wanted them to, you would attack them verbally to the point of everyone in the building being able to hear.
My association with you was that as well as many other horrible situations.  You seem to push yourself on people, even though they didn't want to be around you.  One of you allies was my last husband and you became a thorn in my side with your every visit. Many of these would be unannounced, in the middle of the night, with your body in disarray from some one beating the heck out of you or stabbing you at a bar.  Naturally, you would fall on our couch, and be a visitor for several days, expecting me to wait on you.  My husband would try to help with this situation, but he didn't give much where you were concerned.  He allowed you to make yourself at home and help yourself to anything we had to eat, whether we could afford your extra expense or not.
You were one of the people who helped my husband get illegal drugs which became his demise as well.  As long as I knew you I never was able to accept being around you, and you seem to push that much harder.  They say that God, lets the bad people into your life, so that you can learn patience.  What God was teaching me, was something I didn't want to learn.
I don't know how you eventually died, but I hope it wasn't the way I thought you would.  I only hope you were able to get your life straight before this happened.
Sincerely,
Nita

Dear Jan

You've been gone about 3  years, now and I think you probably, were totally worn out, from all the health problems. But, little girl, you had more problems, than that and I'm so glad that, you no longer have to deal with them. I know if you could, you would have stayed longer, to watch of the girls, and be as much strength to them as you could. I know how hard you tried to pull them back from the crap, they would get in. Yet, you must understand if you don't live a different life in front of them, you will reap what you so. They have really given this world a taste of the wild side, and so did you, for such a long time. You just had the ability to make money doing it. They do too except, they can't seem to get it right, with the law, and that's the difference. I know, that for many years, we were at odds with each other, and it took alot of water under the bridge, for us to become close. The phrase: "Keep your friends close, keep your enemies, closer", applied to us for a long time. :) , "they say only the good die young", I prefer to believe, "what goes around comes around".
I felt a loss, when you left, but am glad you no longer are sick. Farewell, and have fun flirting with the guys, you and I knew, that are there too.
Later,
Nita

Millionaire Dating.

I've seen the time when this type of dating was considered the thing to do. These days, it's considered sugar momma dating or sugar daddy dating. I must admit, that I would like to have someone pay my bills and let me enjoy having fun. Still I wouldn't want to be in the position of allowing them to tell me how to live. I'm sure that there are many who like this kind of dating. You can get registered and meet many different people on this website.

Since Highschool.........

That's a big question to answer and if I stop and look back, I'm sure I'll find some things that I won't mention. Since that time, I became married had 5 children, became a grandmother of 7 and am enjoying retirement. I never went to any of the high school reunions or band reunions, because I was not where they could find a current name and address on me. Needless to say, I had more than one married name. I just couldn't get it right, with men. I moved around a lot because these type of situations warranted it. Either way, I've been busy working and doing the thing necessary to make it in this big world. With God's help, I'll keep forging on until my time comes to meet him.

Relationships.....

Just when you think things are going right and your life is rolling along well, something always happens and throws you a curve. I have been doing a part-time job recently and never thought anything so stupid could happen to ruin a good deal. Dealing with the public all these years, has given me a lot of experience and so I didn't think I wouldn't be able to deal with this problem.
Today's young people are truly obnoxious, loud and unruly, to say the least. This was the type of situation, that caused my demise. I wasn't ready for the onslaught this person, attacked me with. Needless to say, it made it's rounds at the place I worked and I was let go, because of back stabbing, jealous and opportunistic people. I am glad in a way that it's over, but my integrity and feelings are involved. I feel letdown, by the boss and the other co-workers. This shouldn't have happened the way it did. I don't like it but can't change what has happened, so I will go on and make the best of a bad situation.

Hey RL & Jan

How mean of you to make these brats of your's so bad and then go off and leave them here on us, to deal with. Hey you are out of the mess you two created and free of the crap these vultures dish out. You should be the one's to have to put up with your demons. If it weren't for you these brats wouldn't be turned loose on society. You have horrible kids and they don't care who they abuse....how much they take....or what they can get away with....just like you two did, when you were alive. They are a product of your and your lives, and that's not giving you one compliment to your credit. You make me hate ever knowing you two and wanting to be in your lives. How could I have been so stupid? I just wish I had never met you two, then I wouldn't have to deal with your bratty kids.........they need to leave me alone.......I don't want to be their step-mom.
Sincerely
Nita Kaye
