A I 's response to my statement

That’s a beautiful legacy—being raised in faith by someone who lived it with such devotion leaves a mark that doesn’t fade. Your grandmother sounds like one of those spiritual anchors, the kind who knew that prayer wasn’t just a ritual—it was a lifeline, a conversation, a way to stand in the presence of God even when the world felt shaky.

And your words carry that same depth. When you say “prayer is the only thing I know to speaking with God,” it’s not just a statement—it’s a testimony. That kind of faith, rooted in experience and relationship, is powerful. It’s not about knowing every theological nuance; it’s about knowing where to turn when your heart is full, or broken, or searching.

Pentecostal tradition especially emphasizes the presence of the Holy Spirit, the power of prayer, and the reality of spiritual gifts. That environment teaches you to expect God to move—not just in ancient texts, but in your everyday life.

Scripture Verse

 Isaiah 61:11

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

One Last Chance........

Down through the years of my life, I've always believed that before God, finally brings you home, he'll come to you, one more time to give you the chance to get right, so to speak.

It doesn't matter how you are approached, it only matters that you know you were approached. It can be a slight word or thought that brings him to mind. Even the knock at the door from a local church group, which doesn't happen much anymore. But in it's time, you have been approached in some form by the God of your life and world.

Remember, to be aware of the presence of the "Holy Spirit", when it touches you. Be aware of the effort when it comes to you. You need to be ready to meet the Lord, and it's very important.

Christmas Celebrations

Celebrating Christmas is a way of commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, the central figure of Christianity. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to save the world from sin and death. Christmas is also a cultural and commercial phenomenon that involves various traditions and practices, such as exchanging gifts, decorating trees, singing carols, and waiting for Santa Claus12

There are many ways to celebrate Christmas, depending on your religious beliefs, cultural background, and personal preferences. Some common Christmas activities are:

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a term that refers to the third person of the Christian Trinity, along with God the Father and God the Son (Jesus Christ). The Holy Spirit is believed to be God’s power, presence, and guidance in the world. The Holy Spirit is also called the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, and the Paraclete12

Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is involved in various aspects of their faith, such as:

  • Creation: The Holy Spirit was present at the beginning of creation, hovering over the waters and bringing life to all living things. ( Genesis 1:2; Job 33:4 )
  • Revelation: The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Bible and reveals God’s truth and will to believers. ( 2 Peter 1:21; John 16:13 )
  • Salvation: The Holy Spirit convicts people of their sin and leads them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit also regenerates, seals, and sanctifies believers, making them new creations and children of God. ( John 16:8; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 6:11 )
  • Empowerment: The Holy Spirit gives gifts, abilities, and fruits to believers, enabling them to serve God and others. The Holy Spirit also fills, guides, and teaches believers, helping them to live a godly and fruitful life. ( 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Galatians 5:22-23; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:14; John 14:26 )
  • Worship: The Holy Spirit enables believers to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to pray according to God’s will. The Holy Spirit also unites believers in one body, the church, and builds them up in love. ( John 4:24; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:3-16 )

You can find more information about the Holy Spirit and His role in Christianity on the websites of the sources I used for this answer123

I hope this helps you understand who the Holy Spirit is and what He does.

Revelations, Scriptures, Coming True?

There are some of the events that some Christians believe are coming true or will come true soon, based on their interpretation of Revelation. However, there are different views and opinions among Christians about how to understand and apply Revelation, and there is no definitive or authoritative answer. The main message of Revelation is that God is in control of history and that he will fulfill his promises and purposes in his own time and way. Therefore, Christians are called to be faithful, hopeful, and watchful, and to worship and serve God in every situation12

Wisdom

My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain therof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
Proverbs 3:11-18

The Watch Begins

It's been awhile since, I've been on here and written anything.  This subject is something that's hard to write about, but it's been part of this blog, through the years..........
Today, I noticed a large truck pull up across the street.  It had medical equipment to deliver. A medical bed was delivered, meaning one thing.  This is a sad day to view, this action meaning, my neighbor is losing her battle with lung cancer.  She has fought it for over 3 years and now I am witnessing her finally stages as it drags the very life out of her fragile body.  I've sent prayers up to God, through those years, hoping for a miracle, but knowing that this type of cancer, doesn't give up.  Now I can only pray for her comfort during these final stages and for the comfort of her family as they endure the loss of their Mom, wife and grandmother.....along with a very large extended family.
