The Watch Begins

It's been awhile since, I've been on here and written anything.  This subject is something that's hard to write about, but it's been part of this blog, through the years..........
Today, I noticed a large truck pull up across the street.  It had medical equipment to deliver. A medical bed was delivered, meaning one thing.  This is a sad day to view, this action meaning, my neighbor is losing her battle with lung cancer.  She has fought it for over 3 years and now I am witnessing her finally stages as it drags the very life out of her fragile body.  I've sent prayers up to God, through those years, hoping for a miracle, but knowing that this type of cancer, doesn't give up.  Now I can only pray for her comfort during these final stages and for the comfort of her family as they endure the loss of their Mom, wife and grandmother.....along with a very large extended family.

I Say Thanks

All too often, we get caught up in life's hectic daily activities, and forget to pray or thank God, for his goodness.  I'm so guilty of this and try to remind myself of the good things, in my life and what God does daily for me and my husband,  Just post a "public Thank You" to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for his daily protection, provisions, and kindness...........how about you all?  

2018

As we search our thoughts about, this past year and remind ourselves of things, gone by. Let us also look forward to the coming year with hope and love in our hearts, as we reach a milestone and move on to another. Remember the one's we've lost and the one's yet to come, for our future depends on the new one's that come to us from now on. God bless you all and may you have wonderful peace, this coming year, no matter what we may face.

It's Almost Here

Winter is almost here in Texas, and now it feels more like the Christmas season.  I'm not a cool weather person, and get cold very easy when a small wind passes by.  The hard freezes are times when I hunker down where it's warm and watch a good movie or TV show.  You will find me covered up with a blanket on the couch while doing so.  Either way, the nice 70 degree temps we had recently were more my liking.

Everywhere, Lately

Lately, it seems so many a passing on to their Heavenly home.  Many have passed, but not to a Heavenly home, because they just didn't know the Lord, or even care to.
We've lost one of our personal family members, and there are many who also have lost family members. 
In the last few days, the news has reported close to 10+ deaths of individuals, who are known nationwide/worldwide, in one fashion or another.  It is my wonder, whether our Lord is ridding or rescuing the one's he is taking from this world?
As I look at the recent list of those who have passed, I see one or two, who may have not lived well enough to become a citizen of Heaven.  Sad is the word, that can only be used, since many of us are glad, these people are no longer with us. 
Sad, is the word we use when looking at the reason some others passed.  Be it health matters, or just passing because it was their time to go.
Utmost condolences, go to family, friends and coworkers involved in these people's live.  Prayers, for all who have dealt with the sadness of watching their loved one, fight a disease or illness, only to grow weak from it's onslaught.  God, knows what he's doing, and I find comfort in knowing this.......

Request for Prayers

It is with deep sadness that I request your prayers, for my brother in law and sister.  He is going through the hardest part of cancer at the present and if the chemo doesn't stop it, then we will lose a very sweet man..........I call all the prayer warriors, to put Don on your list and call the powers of God's Almighty hand to be at work in his life.........
My sister is in need of prayer, for her comfort and strength as she deals with this situation.  Keep her lifted up, in Jesus Name.......... I thank you........

Prayers For the Family

The posting on Facebook this morning gave her reports of her husband's going home.  He is now free of pain, and she must look toward the future as it develops.  Her life has been a good one and now she faces it alone, to embark on a different journey.
The loss of her husband will be felt by all who knew him and his family.  My condolences to each one, as they go through the present grief and decisions.  Prayers to my friend that she may live in comfort knowing she did her best..........

Great Sadness

A close friend, who is related to my sister, is sitting with her husband at a hospital, in ICU.  Hospice, is being brought in, since his health declined this morning.  She's a strong lady, but even this is hard for someone to go through.  I've been there, I know what it's like and it's very rough.
Please pray for her and him, during this awful time and in the coming months of grief.

THANK YOU LORD

Today, I look around at the world we live in and see so much turmoil.  People, are living the best way they can and those of us who have a life with the comforts on a daily basis, feel as though we are in some way sinning.  I say this because we see so many who are without a home, because of the devastating weather, recently and those who are sick from some incurable diseases.  Those whose lives have been torn to pieces, not from their own doing, but from matters out of their control.
Yes, I have my problems, and yes they are giving me unwanted stress.  Yet, I can see things going on  that make my problems, look small in comparison.  This gives me a comfort in knowing that I should be grateful for the things in my life and pray for the problems that I see nearby.  I can rest in the knowledge that the Lord, has his hand on my life and problems.  I can thank him for the goodness, he has given me, knowing that I am truly blessed.  
Today, is a good time for all of us to be thankful for the good that is in our lives, and pray for the one's less fortunate.......

Grateful

My body knows when it's not feeling right........and yet, it can't tell me what is really wrong.  Thus, I had to do all these xray's, and CT scan to find out anything.  Seems, things aren't as bad as they seemed.  What is wrong, is that a 72yr. old woman got in a hurry to finish mowing the yard and set the riding lawnmower, up a faster speed.  You understand it was really hot that day.  So, it just took off forward in what you call  a lerch and almost left me on the ground.  In doing so, it pulled a muscle in my right side.  The pain, made me to think I had something really bad, like a disease of some kind.  It still grabs me if I move the wrong way, but not as bad as before.  Praying, really gave me more assurance, than I knew.
Either way, I'm taking those pills and doing as I was told..........now, the slow process of getting better, and thanking God, that it wasn't something worse.

Another Update

Had a CAT scan yesterday, and there's nothing that should be causing this pain in my right side.  Some small things are wrong with me, but nothing major.  Still they want me to go to the ER and get a EKG on my heart.........I'm good with that.......just wondering why I keep having so much stool, when I took laxative 2 days in a row.......here you have an underlying situation, still undetected.
Thanks be to the all mighty God, for his help in this situation........ thanks to people who have been lifting me up as well...........don't stop............I still need your prayers............... we all do.

We Pray

Recently, I met online, a lady who is fighting for her life, against breast cancer.  In the last few days, she has been told that the chemo treatments are not working and she must have surgery to remove it.  Then on to stronger chemo treatments.
It is my prayer that this person, who has touched my life, will come through this ordeal in glorious beauty to show the Lord's great and mighty works. I ask that you stand with me in prayer for her healing from this thing........... I thank you!

A Prayer Request..........

In the last few weeks, we have been getting information, from my sister about her husband, Don.  Seems, he's developed a tumor in his throat.  It has been found to be cancer, and he is in for some rough times.
We ask for your prayers of healing, comfort and love for him and my sister Becky.  We are believing that, Don will get through this and be a healthy happier man, because of it..........Thank you, for your loving gestures in words and prayers..........

Palmer

Arnold Palmer, was one of the golfing greats, that won many gold tournaments.  He passed away this last week and I'm sure the golfing world as well as friends and family, will truly miss him.  Our condolences go out to all who, knew and loved this great man.
