Sir!

I never got to meet you during the short time I've been with your son.  You have passed on this week and it's a terrible time for your first born son.  He wasn't notified of your death in a decent proper manner, and had to learn it from an ex-wife.  How horrible it is to learn this type of thing from an outsider.  This means that the other siblings you fathered are mean and cruel.
I'm not sure if the man I love can be able to forgive this situation caused by many past events?  I do know that he feels cheated and pushed aside from the family.  This may be the reason he has kept his distance during the years in the past.  Maybe from guilt of his doings, or from pain of rejection, I don't know.  But this isn't something I can push on him to deal with.  He will have to do this in his own time and way.
I only hope that your son will survive and be able to get past all this.  Because I love him and he deserves to be loved.
May your soul rest in peace, is my prayer.
Nita

Dear Lady...........

Helen Parrish.............
I remember the first time I ever met you.  It was a family holiday and you were at your daughter's for the festivities.  My sister took me over with her so she could give you your gifts from her and your son.  Meeting the other side of the family for the first time, was a good venture.
I remember your bubbly persona, and how you were enjoying the family and the moments you all had going on.  You talked to me as if I had been there many years.  As the last few years have gone by, I've seen you through visits to the nursing home where my parents and you were staying.
I can say truthfully that you always had that smile and it gave a sense of sweetness to you and anyone around you.  No longer than I was able to know  you, I found  you to be as full of life as your body would allow.  You had that sweet spirit that not many people are endowed with.
I know that you are with your family and friends up there above us.  I'm sure that Don and Carolyn will miss you terribly.  It's going to be a great loss for them to handle.  Yet, they have the peace that you no longer are suffering and are finally at rest.
God bless you sweet lady, and may you rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Nita

Goodbye

I see the dark clouds surrounding your family members as they deal with your death.  It's not a pretty picture to view, because of the strife involved.  My daughter in law, was your daughter and she is getting more than her share of grief at this moment.  The family is not handling your loss well, and she is the brunt of their attacks.  Needless to say, it's not right for this to be happening and it only causes more hurt in the long run.  My prayers for this family, can only be for peace and cooperation between them.
Elaine Knorr, I hope you are able to RIP since you no longer are in control of this situation.  I never met you but, from some of the comments I've seen on Facebook, you were a nice person.  My daughter in law is torn apart from the way the family treated her at your passing.  It's not nice, fair or decent to treat a family member in this manner during such a sad time.  I hope you will be able to send some form of love down to your children during their grief and maybe they will be able to find peace and comfort.
My prayers go out to them and I will keep in touch with your daughter, to comfort her and support her emotionally during the trying times ahead.
God be with you and may you rest in peace,
Sincerely,
Nita

Sad Start

Yesterday morning you left us and went to be with the Lord.  You were such a sweet man and I will miss you very much.
My step-dad for a few short years and yet you made a great impression on me as to who I would like my spouse to be like.  During those years you showed me that there is a real love, given by your spouse and I saw that in you.  You never stopped loving my Mom, even when she would push your last buttons.  I've often told her that when she was through with you, that I wanted you.  Now, you are no longer here for us to enjoy and I wonder just what your children would do if they knew.  It's a horrible thing to be pushed away by your children, because you found love after your first wife had died.  I know they have no idea of the sweet person you were to kids who weren't your own blood.  I'm not sure if they even care, yet I wish I could tell them how awful they were to you.
I will miss you telling me to "behave myself" when visiting you at the nursing home.  It was a time you and I interacted on a fun basis.  I want you to know that you are missed and we will have a great loss for years to come.
Rest in peace Henry, and see what all God has waiting for you, up there.
Love ya,
Kaye

Grief

There are several people who will be missing and grieving for loved ones who left them this year.  I know several people in my local area who will be going through this emotional time of loss.  It's not easy to go through the loss, and at this time of year the memories become paramount with the one's left behind.  Our prayers go out to those families and friends who are living in this trauma this year.  God be with them and give them the inner peace which passes all understanding........

Dear Matt

Matthew Mickelson Butman

Although I never met you or your family, I've watched the stories and updates through the last 3 or 4 years.  You have been a very great inspiration to all whom your spirit and existence touched.  I saw the pictures of you in your room and read your many updates during your short life.  I watched as your family searched for the strength, peace and comfort during your bad bouts with this disease.  Now, that you are gone I know they will miss you and wonder if there will ever be a cure to what has taken two of their sons?  May God rest your sweet soul and give your family peace.
Every time I would get down and start feeling sorry for myself, I would remember you were over there just a few miles away trying to hold on to what life you had left.  I felt no pity for myself and thanked God that your short sweet life touched me as well as many others around the world.  Go with God, Matt and RIP........
Condolences to all family and friends of this sweet boy.......Heaven has another angel....

Dear Tom

Today, you were laid to rest in the DFW National Cemetery here in the Dallas, TX area.  It's free to soldiers who served their country during an overseas active duty.  I wasn't able to make it there to give my respects, but I am in hope that there were plenty of people in attendance.  It wasn't a good time I'm sure but even with your cremation I sufficed for the final needs.  RIP and I know you are in a better place.
Sincerely,
Nita

Mom

Today, would have been Mom's 88th birthday.  She passed away "Easter Sunday Night" this year, and took with her a tremendous amount of knowledge and experiences.  I can't fathom some of the things that she could have gone through during her life.  I can only hope that she felt good about the way she lived it and the people she chose to involve in it.
If I can say anything to you that would suffice for the way I feel, it would have been to know you better, and have a better, more loving relationship with you than what we had.  I can only tell you that I am sorry you are gone and that I wish our visits could have been more.
Rest in Peace,
Your daughter,
Kaye

Hey Mom

It wasn't long after they told us that you had a short time left that you actually did leave.  Last Sunday night on Easter you moved on to a different world.  It wasn't easy to watch you suffer to breathe, and we know that you are not in pain anymore.  Now, I must take over the role as the oldest in the family.  I don't relish the idea but I know that life has to go on.  Since I am only 19 yrs. younger than you, it's scary that soon I tool will be moving on to another world.  Leaving behind the only world I've known and the family that must take over after I go. I can only hope that as I do so it will be with dignity and grace.
Good bye, you will be missed.

Hello

Hey, Paul.........it's been a long hard journey.  You got out of the storm and now the rest of us are dealing with the aftermath.  Your death left a big hole in many peoples lives.  Our daughter was one of them.  It's without a doubt that she is loosing her mind.  There's not much anyone can do to help her without getting sucked into her drama and drug situations.  She's to the point of needing institutional help.  Since she is considered to be a legal adult, and that ties our hands.  While in the midst of all this she wastes away doing this crap. I refuse to enable her by giving her money when she is down.  It doesn't go for what is needed, like rent and general necessities.  Right to the "dope house" she goes, with her man trailing along behind her.  It's a sad thing to watch someone loose themselves in this.  I've done it one too many times and won't be a party to any of the crap she escalates.  You should be here for her to run to, cause all that "petting" you did back when she was growing up, helped make this monster.
Sorry, but I had to speak my feelings about this and you were her father.
Sincerely,
Nita

Martha Holder

Today, would have been your birthday, if you were still alive.  That is not an option, because you would be very old.  Yes, being born in 1889 would have given you more years than your body could handle.  Still I would that you could be here to visit with and get ideas about how you feel things are going on in this world.  Either way, I am telling you "Happy Birthday" and just letting you know that I remembered.
Love,
Kaye

Alvin

Dear Al,
Our friendship started back in 2003, when I came to your town to escape the hell I was living in.  You and 2 other friends introduced yourselves and from there it began to unfold.  I managed to get a kitchenette apartment at the same place you and Jesse lived.  You 2 saw a new woman in the complex and immediately began saying "hello" and be friendly.  It was a welcome feeling and I appreciated it, since I was there alone.  The times that I spent hold up in my room, alone and unhappy were broken by your smiles and waves.  I started going over and sitting with you guys in the evenings and visiting.  We would share laughs, drink coffee or beer and enjoy each others company.  As time evolved, we came to be good friends and I started cooking extra food, and offering you guys a home cooked meal.  Two old bachelor's loved to get a good home cooked meal.  It was then that you guys would bring your extra meat and vegetables for me to use, rather than use up all of my stuff.  I didn't mind, and it soon became a ritual with us.
There were days that I would be down, and you would listen to me pour out my heart.  You would give an opinion, that seem to hit the spot at the right moment.  You sat with me, as I suffered the loss of my last husband, and let me talk your ears off.  There were times I could see that you really didn't feel up to it, but you never complained.
After I moved away I made sure to keep in contact with you.  I even went back a few times to visit when I would be in town at my son's home.  You always welcomed me with open arms and a bear hug.  I tried to make it up there to see you but my old car just wasn't up to par.  I kept sending you emails, in hopes of helping the lonely times I knew you must be going through.  There were times when you wouldn't be on the internet and those times I feared were bad.  This last time was it and I lost my very good friend.  I'll miss your quick wit and funny laughs......your were my friend.
I love you,
Nita

Goodbye Tom

My dear friend, I'm so sorry to hear of your passing.  It's so terrible to get an email from another friend telling me of your passing.  I hope you are resting in your loved one's arms and I sure am going to miss your wonderful smile, and sweet sense of humor.  It was a pleasure knowing you for the short time you were around my world.
May the angels lift you up to the great one in the sky.........
Love ya,
Nita

Dear Louise

It was so sad to hear of your passing.  You only last 11 months past your brother's passing and it seems that the timing wasn't expected by any.  I know that you had many health problems and certainly they contributed to you demise.  I feel bad for your boys and hope that somehow they can accept you being gone.  This leaves only one of the main line to that side of the family and I'm sure David will be taking better care of himself now that all these things have happened.  His health isn't too great either and people will worry for him.
Although, you and I never had a close relationship, I still had fun joking with you when I would visit over there.  I'm sure you will be missed by many,

 Sincerely,
Nita Kaye

So Long Joe

It was so sad to hear of your passing.  I know that you are not hurting anymore and that you fought as long as you could.  My daughter knew it was just a matter of time, before you left her, but she tried to do for you as best she could.  Being a caregiver for a terminally ill person is hard on anyone, but she is so young.  I've watched her going through extreme grief in the last year, with the passing of her father, and the break ups of her and her boyfriend.  Now, she looses you too.  You fell into the position of being a dad once her's was gone.  I know you didn't want all the problems, to happen that she is now going to face.  Sometimes, we can't control how life dictates things.  Either way you were a big support to her in many ways, and now she must go on without you as well.
You will be missed and I know she cared deeply for you.  You were someone who gave her a form of life, when she didn't have any.  May your soul rest in peace.
Thank you,
Nita (Ashley's Mom)

Dear Paul

The house is not the same over there.  Everyone can tell that you were the chief motivator of that family.  Things need help and your not there to give it that extra nudge.  It's too bad that something so small slipped into your body unknown and destroyed your health so fast.  You fought health problems all those years and won.  Visiting you the month before you passed on was a hard experience.  I could tell you were hanging on by a thread and it was just a matter of time.  Our daughter has managed to get through the last few months, but at times wishes for your strength to be present.  I'm sorry you had to go, and wish that this horrible cancer would have left you alone.

Sincerely,
Nita Kaye

Hello Goldie

I know it's been a long time, since you even thought of me, and vice versa. I thought so many years ago, that you would become a great mother in law. How sad, that I was very wrong.
I never wanted it to be the way it was, but how it turned out, was beyond my control. I wish we had been closer, and you could have seen, how much I wanted to love you, like I did your son. His memories, will haunt me forever, as I try to rationalize, how it all came to a bitter end. Please, understand, that I loved Linn, with all my heart, and wanted to be with him forever. The brutal beatings, me and the children took, kept that from happening. To this very day, I still love the man, and wish it could have turned out wonderful.
Once again, you would have been such an asset to our relationship, had you been able to understand what was really going on, in comparison to what you were told.
I'm so sorry, to have lost you as a confidant, mom and friend.
Sincerely,
Kaye
