AC Compressor

Back in 2000, I bought a car for cash. Since it was in April and still not hot as yet, I didn't check out the AC. As the months went by and it started to get hot, I thought it best to check it out and if it needed freon, then I would go get it serviced. When a family member, looked under the hood, the came in and told me he knew what was wrong with the AC. I asked what it might be, and he smiled and told me there was no ac compressor what so ever under the hood. Boy, was I hot, in every sense of the word.
