Officer Slain.........

A police officer was shot and killed, while trying to issue a warrant for the arrest of felon. This officer was 2 days short of being with the Police Department for 18 years. He was presently assigned to the "Gang Unit". The Dallas City Police Department, has been devastated, by this loss. Officer Norman,(43) was married to a Dallas Police officer and he and his wife have 2 children.
A candlelight vigil and memorial was held the fallen officer and his patrol car has been adorned with flowers and made into a memorial in front of the Police Station. Flags are flying half mast at the City, County and Federal buildings in the city and suburban areas of Dallas County.
