Freedom For Journalists....

After meeting with Clinton, who made an unannounced visit to the North Korean capital Tuesday, Kim pardoned and freed the young journalists who allegedly crossed into the country from China earlier this year. They were serving 12-year prison sentences.

"It could provide an opportunity to move forward on the nuclear issue, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
We thank God for their release and safe return to their homes and families.

Heavy Rains Cause Flooding........

This lady is rescued by firefighters after her car was stranded by flood waters in downtown Louisville, Ky., Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009. I hope there wasn't much damage to these vehicles. They are so hard to replace, when dealing with insurance companies.

Heavy thunderstorms fed floods in Kentucky and Indiana on Tuesday, shutting down a university campus in Louisville, closing highways and cutting power to thousands of people. About a dozen buildings were without power and a dozen more had some flooding on the main campus. Dozens of university of employees were evacuated. Western Louisville was swamped by more than 6 inches of rain in three hours Tuesday morning.

Christians Attacked.........

Pakistani Christians participate in a rally against the killings of their religious brethren during a weekend riot, Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, in Islamabad, Pakistan. Police questioned more than 200 people to determine if the rioting that killed eight Christians was spontaneous or planned by a militant group, a Pakistani official said. Hundreds of Muslims attacked a Christian neighborhood in the eastern Pakistani city of Gojra on Saturday after reports that Christians had desecrated a Quran. The assault, which also torched dozens of homes, underscored the precarious existence of religious minorities in this Muslim-majority nation where extremist Islam is on the rise.

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, has announced plans to phase out school textbooks in favor of digital learning aids as the state looks to plug its massive budget hole.
Well, now the kids that can't read, will have to go high tech and read anyway. How can you justify, taking school books out of classrooms, when that's the primary way children have been taught so many years. I guess that would make the load lighter and the students wouldn't have to take home books to do their homework anymore. This means going to the library or having a computer at home..........etc.

Those Times.....

Many times during the day, I find that I'm very lonely. There's a reason for that. I just moved my spouse out of the house, because of disrespect. He hasn't been able to say those words "I'm sorry" and so I leave him to himself. It's not as bad as it was back before he and I got together. But it's only been 2 weeks. I still find myself listening for the noise or seeing some of his stuff still here. A quirky reminder of what was. Now, it will never be again, because there's too much water under that bridge. I must carry on and do the best I can to maintain, what's left.

SSDI....

I recently tried to help someone get disability through our fine State, but was worn completely out going through all the different processes. I went to the SS office and help this person file their papers, then we had to wait 90 to 120 days for a processing department in our State offices to get back to us. I've heard that Allsup is the place to get assistance with your disability insurance
and they can get you setup when other places can't. They have a great success rate with all their disable clients.

Blessed Rain.........

Once again we have been blessed with rain, which our area of the state really has needed. Several years at this time, we have had severe droughts and had to ration water. Not so this year and we are very thankful. Not only does it water the plants and grass free, it cuts down on the hot temperatures, we experience during the summer months. Today's rain is not a storm like so many we've had lately. It's a nice steady rain, blowing on occasion but mostly just steady.

HPV Cancer

This is not a cancer that is inherited, it is caught during the teenage years and may develop if not treated in time. I found out today, that my youngest daughter, has cells that may develop into this. She was told to get a hysterectomy several years back, and has been lazy in her actions. Being young is sometimes the one thing that keeps young people from using a sound mind. Now she is confronted with this and will need to follow up on it. I'm glad she's finally going to get this taken care of. Your prayers are desired in this matter......
