Pray

"We ought always to pray, and not to faint" I almost always put this after my name. Always pray, never faint or be weary. "Pray without ceasing" How do we do this...Pray Always,Never cease? All my life except for 30 minutes before I was saved at 7 I have felt the Presence of Jesus. Be open to Him having Him speak or you sharing. Welcome Him (Luke 18:1; 1 Thess.5:17

What Happened?

I noticed recently that I no longer have access to the "Entrecard" website.  I also checked other blogs that I remembered to have this card on their blogs and theirs looked the same as this widget.  I miss all the different blogs and the interaction, which led to traffic.  My question is?  What happened to "Entrecard"?

Labels

I know that the office of today, is quite different for the office of yesterday.  Most paperwork was done manually by office staff.  Today, you still find that certain things like round labels  can be used for jobs precised.  I'm not sure what you will use these for, but if you have a need for them then click on the above link and do some shopping.

October 1st

Soon the time will arrive that would have been your birthday.  You are missed and I can tell you there are times I wish you were still here to talk to me.  I once could come and sit with you to have a confidential conversation about things going on with me and other family members.  Today, I flounder here at home on the computer and talk to myself.  Sometimes I get out and go to lunch with my sister doing girl things.
You were my confidant, my strength and help in trouble times.  Your answers to my questions about life didn't always come to me in the form I wanted but they gave me perspective.  Thanks for the life you lived ahead of me, and for all of the things you taught me.  If you can hear me or know what I'm saying, hey, Mamaw, I want you to know I thinking about you.  I miss your love.

Out Door Cozy

I have not been lucky enough to enjoy plenty of money the way others do.  I suppose when you can afford nice homes, you can also afford  outdoor fireplaces  to utilize during the cooler months.  There seems to be a trend for such items with the newer homes that are being built.  Yet, you may want to have one installed in your existing yard.

Mom

Mother has been put back into the hospital, with an infection.  She has been laying in bed for the last year, and her body has maintained as best it could.  I believe she has been in the hospital at least 7 times in the last year, which gives you an idea as to what we are experiencing.  Every time she goes into the hospital, we have that question mark jump into our minds.  Will she make it out and back to the nursing home this time?
In August she turned 87 years old, and some would say that's good.  It would be good if she hadn't given up on life.  These days she doesn't make the effort to do anything except find things to gripe about.  I suppose this is her way of having attention.  I feel sorry for our 91 year old step-dad, because she keeps him going.  The problem with that is he can't keep this up any longer.  His body is starting to get very feeble and now it won't hold him to get up and around very well.

Faith

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Timothy 1:12
We know this to be true as we live everyday in this topsy turvy world.

Thankful

I know that there are plenty of people thankful for this wonderful weather.  It was only a few days ago that we were sweltering in the horrible triple digit heat.  I suppose this means fall is coming to our rescue and leaving the summer months behind.  Texas, always has high temperatures and even though we have had a mild summer in comparison to others, it still gives us fits trying to survive.  So, now we wonder how the winter will be, with it's cold and sometimes snow?  I only hope it gives us enough cold to get rid of those horrible grasshoppers that we had this summer.   They ate everything in sight.  Each year we have been plagued with something.  The West Nile Virus has been rough this year like it was last year.  I hope no one else dies from it.
