. Newlyweds
Posted by Gaylord Campbell
I am the happiest I have ever been. My husband and I got married three weeks ago, and we closed on our home before we left for our honeymoon. I feel truly blessed to have such a caring man as my husband. It has been so exciting to make the big and small decisions as a couple. I feel like I have a partner who will be by my side through thick and thin. It is also nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of, and as a friend puts it, to “do life together.” We have had a lot of decisions to make since we bought our home. We decided to give fixed-rate energy a try by looking into shop electricity rates texas cities, and we had to decide on whose bank to use as a couple. We decided that we do not want to have separate accounts. Little things like which cable package to order for our home, which refrigerator to buy, etc. have all been decisions we have made as a couple. I have heard that the first year of marriage is the biggest adjustment, but so far, we have adjusted really well.

Spring
It's a beautiful day here in Texas and I can enjoy the wonderful warm sunshine. It's been raining for the last day and night. It was a slow steady rain, instead of a bad storm For this I am thankful because Texas weather can spawn some real bad storms. I was however almost ready to catch the first boat that came by because of all the water that is standing in my yard.

Signs
While living in a neighborhood, I've often noticed the signs that people put up for "yard sales" and other needs. It's no wonder that they never take the time to try and buy their lawn signs online, when it's so easy to make one in a hurry. These aren't very professional and that makes it look messy. I consider the signs to be exactly what they were made to be and something that isn''t professional does look very mess.
Garbage Truck?
One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so ... Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't.
Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
Have a garbage-free day!

Loans
Along with other money, our government is trying to get things back on a better financial level by issuing unsecured small business loans to help the hard it companies that are trying to survive. I hope that the economy becomes better and raises the hopes of these small companies, because the jobs are very few, with this situation. To get more information about these loans, click on the above link and research the material listed.
Kept.........
-I can do all things through Christ that strength me. Phil 4:13
I Am a 'Kept' Woman? You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind, But GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3) There were times when I thought I could go no longer, But the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15) At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong, But the LORD kept my mouth shut. (Psa. 13) Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough, But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25 -34) When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up. When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30) I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me! I'm blessed to be 'kept.' Are you...or do you know a 'kept' woman ? If so pass it on to her to let them know they are 'Kept' I'm Kept by the Love and Grace of God! |
