Great Man.....

Greatest man in History, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime yet they crucified him. He was ...buried in a tomb yet He lives today.

Folders

Since going to work as a Red Cross volunteer I have been working in the procurement areas.  This gives me the chance to go out and invest in certain office supplies, needed for our classes and seminars.  It's necessary at times to also purchase  custom presentation folders  with the Red Cross logo on it.  There are other items we need the logo to be stamped on as well, to let people know who is giving certain products to help the victims of diseasters.

Breast Cancer

This has been the month that we as women are aware of  breast cancer.  This is the month that we notice and try to boost the cure for this horrible disease.  As with any type of cancer, we can only hope that a break through can happen soon.  We as caring people can help by giving our time, as volunteers or make a donation to the research of this disease.

Going through life with ugly scars on your face, chest and back can cause undue emotional stress.  I know several people with these deep scars and it's not easy to live with.  There are certain  acne scar creams
that can be used to lessen the effects of the scars.  Some can even fade them out and later you are without the deep crevices.  For more information about these skin creams, click on the above link and look around.

The Ant

I was sent this story by a friend and wanted to share it with you.........

The Ant and the Contact Lens: A true story

Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff.
She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact
lens . 'Great', she thought. 'Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry.'
She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there.

She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she may find her contact lens.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the bible verse 'The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth.'

She thought, 'Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me.'

Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, 'Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?'

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it!

The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the caption, 'Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You.'

I think it would do all of us some good to say, 'God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if You want me to carry it, I will.'

God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Yes, I do love GOD. He is my source of existence and my Saviour. He keeps me functioning each and every day.
Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him....I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13)

2 Years

Tomorrow it will be 2 years since my 2 oldest son's dad passed away and I know it will be on their minds. I know that no one wants to give up a parent and it seems to yank the very foundation out from under you. The place you came from and the security that they were there when you needed them is taken away. You realize that you can no longer call them on the phone and chat or ask them for advise. Suddenly, you feel like a fish out of water, and there's nothing you can do about it, but go on with your life.

Loose Weight

I could use loosing some weight, as a good factor for my depression.  I'm sure it would help my morale quite a bit to loose some pounds.  I may go to a few website's and look at the price's on some of the  best weight loss products  they have listed.  Shopping online is so much more convenient that going out to the stores and browsing through their products.  I can access several different website's and get it all done in a matter of minutes, rather than driving to a local mall.

Love?

I've been really down lately, when it comes to wanting to be accepted by a love.  I wish I could meet someone who would love me the way I've been taught that love is supposed to be.  I've even laid in my bed at night and asked God, to give me someone to love before my life runs out.  I'm already getting older, and it would be nice to have a person beside me the rest of my days.  I know that I must trust God, but I'm not getting any younger and would hope he would send someone soon.......is that too much to hope for?

Acne Scars

I have them, and if you have or have had bad acne, then you will have them too.  It's always right where the public can notice it, and you never get rid of them unless you get  acne scar removal  at a professional clinic.  I wish I had been able to afford such services, back during my younger years.  I wouldn't have these scars on my face and body like I do.  For more information about this service, click on the above link.

To Those I Love

When I am gone, release me, let me go.  I have so many things to see and do.  You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.  Be happy that we had so many years.  I gave you my love and you can only guess, how much you gave me in happiness.  I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it time I traveled on alone.  So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, then let your grief  be comforted by trust.  It's only for awhile that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart.  I won't be far away, for life goes on, so if you need me, call and I will come, though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.  And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear all my love around you soft and clear. And the, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home."

When Things.........

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint on the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

Prayer

Do you understand what a prayer, really is?  It's a request or a release to God for assistance or help with a situation you can't handle or control on your own. It's the hope that this supreme being can and will help us through whatever is at hand. I have found myself offering requests on a daily basis, even in small uttered sentences, or under my breath.  Sometimes, you just need to give it up to asking for help to get through each day.  Prayer, is a tool that's something each one of us, can use during the span of our lives.

Cancer Hope

Back in Aug. of 2009 our family lost a member to cancer.  In July of this year we also lost a family member to cancer.  I found this on FaceBook and am posting it in hopes that it will help others and be of service to those coping with the horrible disease.
Don't forget to post a message of hope for a loved one or friend fighting cancer on our interactive Wall of Hope. It is easy to upload an image and message for those needing to hear inspiring words. http://pub.vitrue.com/V85
