My Computer

I had my desktop computer for 2 years and I'm wondering just how much longer it will be effective?  I have been told that they become obsolete as soon as you take them out the door, when buying it.  I wonder if I need to invest in a newer version and get a better setup on the new technology they have released since I obtained mine?  I find myself looking at certain amenities offered and realizing I know very little about the new features.  One thing I do understand is the disk space and how much each one is listed to take, on my computer's hard drive.  Making free space many times means getting rid of software, that I might need in the future.  Considering that technology is constantly coming out with newer versions, then I don't think that downloading extra software to promote certain features is going to do anything but overload my hard drive.  I suppose I could use a disk space manager free download  to help me decide which ones to keep and get rid of.  I find that messing with something I don't know anything about cause me extreme grief.  I can't get over loosing a hard drive awhile back and having to buy another one.  Doing without my computer all those days, left me without something to do, and much worry.
