Abraham asked the Lord to spare 50 righteous people. God responded to Abraham's plea "If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all ....Genesis 18:16-33

America

The United States of America was founded on biblical principles with the intent to guarantee freedom of worship. But over time, we have removed the Lord from many aspects of public life. Prayer in schools, for instance, was deemed unconstitutional. What was once a “nation under God” has turned into a country that tolerates a growing number of sins and yet belittles absolute truth.
If a nation turns its back on the Lord, His judgment is inevitable unless the people repent and make Him Lord once again. As believers, our responsibility is to pray that God would draw the heart of our country back to Himself—and to help the gospel and truth spread through our land.

No Sun

There isn't any sun today, because it's been raining off and on all night and is still raining this morning.  There's a big rain storm hovered over the north central Texas area and it's not letting up.  We need the rain, because of the drought we've been in and this is a welcome sight.

Leather

Texans, usually like to wear their boots and this is something that's tradition.  You will see several people on the streets of a town, with their western attire.  The  Old Gringo Boots   have good leather boots to offer people who are interested in fine leather products.  You can go online and shop for the different designs they have and get good quality items at a nominal price.

Oh Well

The job was short lived, as I sat thinking about the things I needed to do.  Now, I can regroup and do things that are necessary for my life in general.  No, longer do I need to get up early and make my way down the freeway to get to the regular job I had.  Now, once again I am retired and I am very glad to be back in this laid back situation.  The stress of the job was more than I really liked and therefore this thing happened just at the right time.

God Is Good

Many things have happened recently and I can surly say that I'm thankful for the good in all of them.  I find that I can always expect God to know my needs before I even know of them.  He has blessed me in ways that would take awhile to tell all of you.  But, truly.........he is good!

Eyes

I'm sure you ladies are like me.  We try to please our men, when we have one.  We do our best to look great in order to catch their eye.  Now, we don't have to put on all that mascara to have long beautiful lashes.  There are eyelash growth serums  you can get to help with your thin lashes.  I don't know if you are able to use these products or not, but click on the above link and shop.

Weather

It's been acting crazy here in Texas again, and I'm looking out the window, wondering what the storms are bringing, that are on the way.  Our area was under a tornado alert last night, and this morning the storms are on the way as I speak.  I must get ready and get on to work before it gets really bad out there.  Driving is rough when the rain and wind is pounding you.

Jobs

It's looks as though the world is becoming so high tech, that we must go back to school in order to keep up with the new culinary arts.  It's amazing to see all the intricate systems and computers involved in technology these days.  Fifty years ago no one ever knew about such things as Cooking Jobs and if they did, it was in town or for some high class family and we knew nothing of it.  You can get more information about this type of job, by clicking on the above link

Cold & Flu Season

Today, it's raining, something we've needed plenty of since we are still in a drought of sort. It would have been nice, to have gotten this rain, during the summer months, when it was so hot and dry.
I'm sure it won't be long until the doctors will be getting many people in their offices, from all the colds and flu, this weather will help cause. I can only hope that this winter won't be too bad, because it's very hard to get places you need to be and dress properly.
They say that if you don't like Texas weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change........

Vacation?

I know that summer has ended, but there are times that families want to have some time away from the everyday world and be together.  The coming holidays are a good time to invest in a vacation for the family and get a good deal.  You can find these vacation rentals by owner  for a great time to be had by all who attend.  The season, will give you added pleasure and maybe even a discount.  Take a look at this website, before you make any decisions.

Bein Stein's Confession

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those
beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are:
Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me
in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year.
It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu .
If people want a crïeche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians.
I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came
from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed
to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are
wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

New Dog

The Author of this post is Cheryl Martinez
My kids are all about the new dog but to be honest, my husband couldn’t care less. I don’t know why he was so all about the new pet but it seems like ever since we got the lab he’s been nonstop watching expert satelliteand can’t be bothered to take the thing outside. I know it’s football seasonand he says the dog is the kids’ responsibility but it would be nice to have a little more help around here when it comes to the dog. I just don’t get why all of a sudden everything seems to be falling on me! I love Tabby and I think he’s the sweetest dog I’ve ever met and I’m glad my kids have him to learn responsibility when it comes to owning a pet. I think it’s really important for people to have that type of thing growing up but I sure would have thought twice about this if I had known my husband wasn’t going to help me with it at all!

The Trials

Just when you think things are about to ease up on you and you see a patch of blue in the sky.  It happens again.  Another trial for yo u to face and manage to get through are around.  The elements of the trail unfold with such hast and turmoil you find that you sometimes fall to pieces emotionally.  It's these times you must reach down inside you for the strength you know is there.  You find that this is the strength you have developed over the years from just such trials.  Reaching out for help can soothe things, but your inner strength can get you through the situation, when no one else is there during the dark moments of the trial.
